Game Day Mole Meatballs

A quick 15-minute appetizer featuring ground turkey with mole seasoning. Perfect for game day gatherings, sandwiches, wraps, or served over rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup sautéed onions
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp mole (black mole)
  • 3-4 tbsp mole for sauce
  • 1 tbsp water or broth
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

    Combine ground turkey, sautéed onions, salt, paprika, pepper, and 1 tsp mole in a bowl.

    Form mixture into meatballs.

    Air fry at 375°F for approximately 12 minutes until cooked through (internal temp: 165-167°F).

    Heat a pan over medium-low with a drizzle of olive oil.

    Add 3-4 tbsp mole and 1 tbsp water/broth to thin.

    Add meatballs and simmer 3-5 minutes.

    Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
