The "Viral" Dumpling Salad

A refreshing and satisfying bowl of salad with a tangy Asian-inspired dressing. Combines mini chicken cilantro wontons with fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded red cabbage
  • 1 large carrot, shredded
  • 1 green onion, thinly chopped
  • 1/2 cup edamame
  • Handful of cilantro
  • 1/2 bag mini cilantro wontons (or gyozas)
  • Everything but the bagel seasoning
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp coconut aminos
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 large clove garlic, grated
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp honey

Instructions

    Cook frozen wontons in a hot pan with olive oil for 3 minutes per side.

    Add 2 tbsp water, cover, and steam for 4 minutes.

    Prepare dressing by combining olive oil, fish sauce, coconut aminos, lime juice, garlic, ginger, and honey.

    Combine cabbage, carrots, edamame, green onions, and cilantro in a bowl.

    Top with cooked wontons.

    Pour desired amount of dressing and toss together.

    Finish with everything but the bagel seasoning.
